Printing sensitivity
Figure shows the printing
sensitivity curve of ThermoRewrite, TRF33TA, with thermal head. The energy
where the optical density begin to saturate is used to define the sensitivity
of material. For the case below , the sensitivity is determined as 0.54
mJ/dot.
Hot iron stamp is used to estimate erasing temperature for ThermoRewrite. Next figure indicates how optical density decreases with increase of temperature of hot iron stamp. In this case, the erasing temperature is estimated at about 120 Celsius. ( Conditions : Contact time -> 1.0 sec / Pressure ->1.0 kgf/cm2 )
